Command the flux of AI-generated code
What is Kintsugi?
Kintsugi is an experiment run by a small team at Sonar. It is designed to give CLI agent users a complete, end-to-end workflow to manage and review AI-generated changes with full confidence by incorporating security and quality checks every step of the way.
Kintsugi is an Agentic Development Environment (ADE) that, unlike classic IDEs, focuses on orchestrating agents and reviewing code rather than writing it.
It is built with an idea of adding visual capabilities to the power of CLI agents such as Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Codex* and others instead of replacing them.
*At the moment, only Claude Code is supported for Kintsugi
Why Kintsugi?
CLI agents like Claude Code are powerful. Reviewing the agent-generated code and maintaining quality and security at speed take significant care. Power users build their own guardrails; Kintsugi builds them for you.
Key features
Multi-threaded development
Effortlessly manage multiple parallel AI sessions and tasks without losing context thanks to the visual queue that makes it very clear what needs your attention.

We are currently extending the first batch of invitations to try out Kintsugi. Help us shape the future of agentic development.
Help us build Kintsugi
We’re looking for Claude Code users to try Kintsugi and share their thoughts. Your feedback, pain points, and ideas will help us build a tool that solves your real-world needs.
A work in progress
Kintsugi is in its early stages. You may encounter some bugs as we continue to build out the tool. Right now, we are focusing on core features that help you review agent-generated code as quickly as possible.
How we handle your data
Kintsugi is a local desktop application. While your AI agent (Claude Code) communicates with its own providers, Kintsugi itself never sends your source code to Sonar servers. We collect anonymous usage data to help us improve the tool, which you can opt out of in the settings at any time.
Current system dependencies
Kintsugi currently supports macOS only. You will also need a Claude Code subscription and the following tools installed:
- Claude Code 2.0.57 or higher
- Git
- Node.js
- Java 17 or higher
